In this second part of this two part series we divert our attention to key strategies and types of therapies that have proven to be extremely beneficial in trauma recovery. Our main reference and resource is once again the book ‘The Body Keeps Score’ by Bessel van der Kolk.

We talk about the Pennebaker studies, breathing, yoga and Tai Chi, and we go into depth on the topic of meditation. If you already have a bit of experience with mediation you might feel at some point that we overemphasise and over-explain the elements related to this practice however we feel that is is better to assume that most listeners are very new to these ideas and need clear guidance to benefit from the potential that lies within minfulness meditation. So let’s dive in… We’ve got work to do!
